A remnant of the Big Bang, a micro black hole smaller than a hydrogen atom–but with the mass of a mountain–falls into a precessional orbit around and through the Earth. At first, the effects are small: a whip-crack here, a landslide there. But the menace grows as the Earth’s surface begins to subside. It’s up to a team of robotics scientists, engineers, and a blind hacker who can see datastreams to devise a solution. It’s a solution that will change the solar system forever and may even put a new moon in the night sky.
