The Murphy's Lawless sequence is a part of Charles E. Gannon's Caine Riordan universe, and a collaboration between two publishing houses, Baen and Chris Kennedy Publishing. It is a little different from your normal series in that there are a group of novellas (“seasons”) and then a braided novel which sums them up (and which has additional material added by Charles E. Gannon). The three braided novels (in order) are Murphy’s Lawless, Watch the Skies, and Mission Critical.

Season One (“Murphy’s Lawless”) has six novellas and the final book, Murphy’s Lawless. It ties in with the original source material and characters from the main storyline. The novellas are:

1. “Shakes” by Mike Massa
2. “Obligations” by Kevin Ikenberry
3. “Man-Eater” by Griffin Barber
4. “Promises” by Kacey Ezell
5. “Pearl” by Mark Wandrey
6. “Waveoff” by Chris Kennedy

These novels are all braided into the novel Murphy’s Lawless.

Season Two “A” has three novellas and the final book, Watch the Skies. The novellas are:

1. “Sundown” by Kacey Ezell
2. “Desperado” by Kevin Ikenberry
3. “Shadows” by William Alan Webb

These novels are all braided into the novel Watch the Skies.

Season Two “B” has three novellas and the final book Mission Critical. The novellas are:

1. “Infiltration” by Griffin Barber
2. “Insertion” by Chris Kennedy
3. “Assault” by Mike Massa

These novels are all braided into the novel Mission Critical.

Of note Seasons One, Two “A,” and the novellas of Season Two “B” were published by the Beyond Terra Press imprint of Chris Kennedy Publishing, with Baen taking over the release of Mission Critical. Future releases will typically be novels that will be released by Baen, with the option of passing extra material to Beyond Terra Press. The next novel is Admiral and Commander by Charles E. Gannon and Chris Kennedy, expected to be released by Baen near the end of 2023.
