My favorite moment:

When the submarines start fishing by using their sonar to kill the fish. Having served onboard and SSBN I can't even imagine being stranded at-sea during a pandemic such as the one Ringo lays out but I do know we would have done whatever we could to survive and thrive. Most of the time when submarines show up in books, I just end up annoyed with how they are portrayed and how inaccurate it is but John really did a great job of accurately capturing it.
