Triggerman

No flags stand at half-mast for him,

such things are not to be

His history, long and complex as it is remains

untold in the news:

who notes that the dead man's father

sold ice cream?

Why no flags at half-mast?

Can no one see the courage?

I see it now:

we celebrate the general

for his efficiency and excellence

for his knowledge of killing ways;

the rich man we celebrate

for the rich things he does,

but Albin, lonely Albin

was celebrated not at all

Now he is over, like a play

that no longer brings laughter

to the playhouse

his last act had no audience:

the critics failed to attend

No flags stand at half-mast for him

and only three or four people

could even muster tears
