I think if you're going to bring any culture along, it has to be con culture. A sci-fi con lends itself quite easily to an area of limited space, but what con wouldn't make the most of unlimited resources? Imagine having all the sci-fi movies you ever wanted to watch, but didn't have the time for. Imagine that every day is just another day of cosplay. Con goers are some of the most open minded and friendly people you could find, and they would make great ambassadors of Earth.
