The Story So Far . . .

The words for the month are Bill Shatner’s: “Stay home, stay safe, and be kind to each other.” And while you are doing that, you can enjoy a brand new edition of the Grantville Gazette.
In this issue, Eric S. Brown and Robert E. Waters have added to the saga of Fast-As-Lightning-In-The-Sky with their story “Rage of the Black Tooth.” You are going to see more stories set in North America as we get closer to the issue date of the long-awaited North American anthology.
In “Chiaroscuro,” John Deakins posits that the great painter Caravaggio did not die but went into hiding and kept painting. Souls are saved, and lives are changed.
And in our continuing Serials feature, Michael Lockwood gives us the next chapter of “A Puritan Voice,” and Anne Keener gives us the last section of “Birthing Pains.”
Kris Rusch’s “Notes from the Buffer Zone” this issue is about “the damn virus, because everything is about the damn virus!”
We are delighted to have, in this issue, another chapter from Garrett Vance of "First Cavalry of the Cretaceous," this one Part Seven. It is great to see Garrett’s imagining of the world of Time Spike continuing. We can’t wait for the next part.
Natalie Silk offers us a Universe Annex story entitled, “Shadow Play.” It is tremendous, and a great addition to this issue.
