A MISFIT CREW. A WORLD TO SAVE FROM ZOMBIE RAGE.
The Misfit Cruise. For Alvaro, Chloe and the rest of the crew, it was supposed to be fun. Six mismatched teenagers from every part of society and their crusty British captain aboard the ketch Crosscurrent Voyager headed on a senior year summer cruise to excitement, adventure—with maybe a little science done along the way. Then the world ended. On land and by sea, a plague spread throughout the globe, killing millions and turning survivors into cannibalistic rage monsters—zombies, in so many words. Now, Alvaro and the crew he leads must step up to leadership or face disaster. They must seek others who were fortunate enough—or tough enough—to have made it through the apocalypse. In order to do so, they must traverse dangerous seas to a European Space Agency complex in French Guiana, even as thousands of infected stand in the way. But if the crew members of the Voyager are able to use their smarts, courage, and barely-functioning GPS receiver to win through and link up with others, then maybe—just maybe—the plague won’t be the end of humanity’s journey after all! THE MOST DANGEROUS WEAPON IS A PAST SCORNED
Thomas Quinn is a sorcerer haunted by the memories of the things he's done over centuries of service to the Arcanum. He has long retired from that life, running an occult shop in Philadelphia for the past several decades, wanting nothing more than to be left alone with his books and his whiskey and his shame. But when two detectives come to his door asking about a brutal ritual murder in his city, Quinn must reluctantly take up the mantle of a Sorcerer of the Arcanum once more. Thomas Quinn was prepared to fight rogue sorcerers and Fae monsters. But the greatest threat he faces may be his own inner demons. . . . Get Blood and Whispers here. |

Sail a Darkling Sea Through the Black Tide to the End of the World
John Ringo's Black Tide Rising series has become a touchstone of post-apocalyptic zombie fiction, reinvigorating the genre with fresh twists and turns. Ringo kicked things off with the novels Under a Graveyard Sky, To Sail a Darkling Sea, Islands of Rage and Hope, and Strands of Sorrow. But the zombie apocalypse Ringo created was too rich a world to leave behind. The years since have seen two novels cowritten by Ringo and Mike Massa (The Valley of Shadows and River of Night), three anthologies of short fiction (Black Tide Rising, Voices of the Fall, and the upcoming We Shall Rise), and a duo of novels by Charles E. Gannon (At the End of the World and At the End of the Journey). We're celebrating the release of At the End of the Journey this month, and we'd love to hear your favorite scene or moment from the Black Tide Rising series. Let us know what it is and why in a short paragraph (100 words or fewer) for a chance to win a copy of At the End of the Journey, signed by Charles E. Gannon. Find out more here. |
